Leslie's Mexican Supermarket: Authentic Flavors and Fresh Ingredients

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. This is the best Mexican food I've had in Springfield!! Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The food at the restaurant is incredible! I had the pollo sopes, the chicken was so flavorful, tender, and moist. I got a side of guacamole that was the FRESHEST and most delicious I've ever eaten. The spicy salsa has a fantastic level of spice with so much flavor. Hubby got the birria tacos which were unlike any we've ever had before. The consume was thick and flavorful, the tacos were so meaty, cheesy, and perfectly coated in flavor. We got a couple of tamales, they were not the best we've ever had, but still delicious. They were a little dry, but still so flavorful. We have barely finished our meal, but we can't wait to go back again!

I go here to pickup fresh made corn tortillas,chorizo,avocados huge size,rojo(red salsa),restaurant fresh style tortillas chips, cooked pork(carnitas), cooked onions(cebollas),cooked peppers(pimientos cocidos). They have a small restaurant inside & hot tubs full of cooked meats, you can get Carne asada(marinated beef) for the grill. They also Oaxaca fresh cheese & packaged. It's everything I had in San Diego, California. Sometimes there is a long line & wait in line because it's the best & only one in Springfield that I can find everything I need. A bit pricey but, so is everything else everywhere.

The traditional taco shop and restaurant in back is amazing! Really good. Very traditional! Menu has lots of choices. Not Tex-Mex do not expect chips & salsa this place is authenic.

This is a great authentic mexican grocery store in Springfield Mo. In the very back (behind the Pan dulce - mexican pastry section) right hand corner is a small restaurant. It was hard to find but don’t give up looking. We use to go to Leslie’s often when they were near Jim’s Steak House. We didn’t know where they moved too and we were so glad we found them again. This new store/restaurant is definitely bigger than the other location.

Delicious! Great service! Great selection - make that huge selection - of foods to buy for home or to eat right there! Leslie's is a deep dive into Latinoland that I like a lot!

beautiful store. beautiful culture from every square inch. fantastic produce. fantastic dried chilis. full plate-lunch cooking all day. restaurant seating. so many wonderful candies ceiling-high. this place is rich with culture and life and family.

I love Leslie’s huge variety of foods and goods! I came in to find Tamarindo straws for an event. ¡Me encanta el ambiente! Definitely coming back for more shopping and lunch.

Just ran in quickly today,, but will be returning. I haven’t seen this kind of market since I left Texas. All the brands I forgot I was missing were in one place. Fresh tortillas, Jarritos, and more. The store was very clean. The staff was friendly. The food in the back smelled delicious. If I hadn’t just had lunch I would have given it a try. Very excited to have found Leslie’s. Edited to update. We returned on Sunday afternoon and tried the little restaurant in back. They served the best tacos we’ve eaten since leaving Texas 20+ years ago. The tamales were delicious as well. We will be repeat customers.
